Export-import insurance company “Uzbekinvest” held negotiations with the Swiss export-credit agency – SERV (Swiss Export Risk Insurance) and signed a memorandum of cooperation as part of its business trip to Zurich, Switzerland. Also, a number of meetings were organized with the management of the leading companies of the world insurance market – Swiss Re and Zurich Insurance Group.
During the negotiations, the head of Swiss Export Risk Insurance (SERV), Kristina Schulse-Bergmann, praised the economic reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and noted that leading Swiss companies have shown great interest in implementing investment projects in our country in energy, pharmaceutical, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, tourism and other fields.
In this regard, it was noted that an influential delegation consisting of representatives of large Swiss business circles and companies is being prepared to participate in the Investment Forum planned to be held in Tashkent in June 2026.
Within the framework of the memorandum signed with SERV, the following priority areas of cooperation were defined:
- systematic exchange of information, analytical data and experience in the field of export credit and political risk insurance;
- coordination of actions in the insurance of joint export operations and international investment projects involving entities of the two countries;
- joint participation in international forums and conferences on export crediting and insurance issues;
- Strengthening of institutional relations between the state export-credit agencies of Uzbekistan and Switzerland.

Zurich Insurance Group Ltd. representatives emphasized the important role of Uzbekinvest as an exclusive partner in serving their global clients in Uzbekistan.
The management of Swiss Re noted that the pace of investment utilization in Uzbekistan is extremely high and stated that the company’s clients are interested in expanding cooperation with our country.
As a result of the meetings, the following agreements were reached:
- opportunities to expand the portfolio of property insurance, civil liability insurance and cargo insurance were determined within the framework of international corporate programs;
- it was conceptually agreed to diversify the product line by introducing new types of insurance aimed at the needs of transnational customers;
- An agreement was reached on the improvement of global insurance policy administration and claims settlement processes based on Zurich Group international standards;
- a visit of representatives of Swiss Re to the city of Tashkent was agreed upon in order to deeply study the possibilities of expanding cooperation and to agree on the specific parameters of mutual cooperation.
Negotiations with leading Swiss insurance organizations of international recognition have confirmed the high level of mutual trust between the parties and the strategic interest in deepening long-term cooperation in the fields of export support, international business insurance and global reinsurance.
