On June 2, H.E. Karekin the Second Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received about 30 clergymen and pilgrims of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Denmark at the Holy Etchmiadzin Mother See.
The Catholicos of All Armenians brought his blessing to those present, stressing that such visits are an opportune occasion for mutual acquaintance, spiritual communication and strengthening of fraternal ties.
In his speech, the Armenian Patriarch referred to the historical mission of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church in the life of the Armenian people, particularly emphasizing the role of the Church in strengthening the Christian faith, building spiritual and cultural heritage and preserving national identity.
His Holiness also referred to the challenges faced by the Armenian people, expressing satisfaction to the Sister Churches, the World Council of Churches, the Conference of European Churches, as well as various inter-church and religious structures, for the support shown to the Armenian people and the Armenian Church in difficult times.
During the meeting, His Holiness also answered the questions of the guests, which were related to Church-state relations, overcoming the challenges faced by the Church and the most effective implementation of the mission of the Armenian and Universal Church in modern times.
