Availability of medicines and medical supplies
During the tour, the governor inspected the internal medicine, pediatrics, and dental clinics, the family medicine clinic, and pregnancy follow-up. He also checked on the availability of medicines and medical supplies at the unit pharmacy, and listened to a detailed explanation from the unit director about the work mechanism and daily shifts.
The governor directed the necessity of adhering to official working hours and intensifying health awareness campaigns inside and outside the unit, stressing raising the level of preparedness to confront any health emergency and overcoming any obstacles facing the medical team or those who frequent the unit.
The governor listened to a detailed explanation of the unit’s departments and centers, and stressed that the health of the Alexandrian citizen is his top priority, stressing that work progress is followed up periodically to ensure the provision of a decent service worthy of the people of the Burj Al Arab center and city.
One of the projects affiliated with the Presidential Initiative “A Decent Life”
The “Long Live Misr” Family Medicine Unit is one of the projects affiliated with the “A Decent Life” presidential initiative, among four health units that were established and developed to serve the people of the center and city of Burj Al Arab.
The unit consists of a two-storey building, with 23 rooms on the ground floor and 22 rooms on the upper floor. It serves about 5,300 people, with a manpower of 65 members of the medical and administrative staff, and works on a double-shift system. The morning period starts from 8 am until 2 pm, and the evening period from 2 pm until 8 pm.
This came in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Badran, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Mahmoud Issa, Assistant Secretary-General of the Governorate, Representative Abdullah Saadawi Ragheb, and Representative Saleh Abdel Moneim Ragheb.
