The session witnessed a lengthy and comprehensive opening speech by the President of the Federation, which carried within it strategic dimensions and encouraging messages, through which he drew the future features of the national football, reflecting the ambitions of the sports street and appreciating the gains achieved at the administrative and sporting levels.

    Mr. Walid Sadi began his speech by speaking in a tone full of pride and pride about the upcoming global qualification represented by the 2026 World Cup Finals. The President of FAF stressed that the return of the “Greens” to the global forum after an absence of twelve years is an exceptional historical achievement that the Algerian people are awaiting with great enthusiasm and passion. Sadi explained that this qualification was not the result of coincidence, but rather came as a result of integrated collective efforts and continuous coordination between all actors in the football field.     In a related context, the President of the Federation extended his deep thanks, gratitude and appreciation to the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for his high patronage and careful and continuous follow-up of Algerian sports affairs in general, and football in particular.

    Sadi considered the President of the Republic “the number one fan” of the national teams, stressing that his continuous encouragement and keeping up with the athletes’ results represent a strong motivation and a permanent incentive for the federation to continue working in the spirit of responsibility and determination to honor the national flag. He noted the emotional attachment and unconditional support that the supporters provide to their national team at all times and described this unique cohesion between the people and the national squad as representing the striking force and the basic foundation from which the players derive their determination within.     At the local evaluation level, Mr. Walid Sadi extended his warm congratulations to all members of the football family, including managers, coaches, players, referees, and media professionals, on the occasion of the conclusion of the current football season (2025-2026), and pointed out that the past season was rich in challenges and achievements, and enabled the Federation to measure the extent of progress made in implementing development plans and modernizing the football system.

    In the strategic aspect, the President of the Federation stressed the importance of continuing the structural reforms initiated by FAF to upgrade management and governance standards and develop training centers. Sadi sent a clear and direct appeal to all national clubs and associations to intensify actual investment in the talents of youth groups, and to provide the appropriate environment for their discovery and refinement. He also focused in particular on the necessity of promoting and developing women’s football, describing grassroots training as the only guarantee for the sustainability of Algerian football excellence. On the international scene and building a bright future that keeps pace with the aspirations of young people.

    The importance of the measures taken to develop youth groups was also emphasized during the meeting, through the inclusion of special licenses for young players and the launch of elite tournaments for categories under 16, 18 and 20 years of age. These are the steps that allowed the emergence of many promising talents.

    Within the framework of the training policy, the Federal Office decided to organize a national tournament for regional teams for the under-13 age group during next July, with the aim of expanding the base for talent discovery and strengthening the basic training path.

    On the other hand, the Federal Office approved the new conditions for the practice of coaches in the professional tournament. A detailed instruction will be issued later explaining the mechanisms for implementing these procedures.

    The office also approved a program of stadium inspection visits, which will begin on June 23, with the aim of assessing the readiness of sports facilities. Improving the conditions for receiving matches during the coming seasons.
