MINSK, 3 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Kazakhstan are working on new projects to set up facilities to assemble vehicles and machines. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan Aleksei Bogdanov made the statement at the second Belarus-Kazakhstan agrarian forum, which is taking place on the sidelines of the Belagro 2026 expo, BelTA has learned.
Aleksei Bogdanov noted that the agricultural market is highly competitive and complex. At Belagro experts are discussing the best ways to develop dairy and beef cattle breeding and grain production, and what kind of hardware is more efficient in land cultivation.
“It is gratifying that we are looking for ways to interact with Kazakhstani businesses and partners. Two tractor assembly facilities operate in Kazakhstan. Gomselmash harvesters are assembled and sold under the Essil brand, and trailing equipment from Bobruiskagromash is also assembled. We are working on new assembly projects that will also be implemented in Kazakhstan,” Aleksei Bogdanov said.
In his words, it is necessary to work out support measures for such production facilities.
At the meeting Belarusian enterprises presented their developments in animal husbandry, crop farming, technical support for a wide range of machines for field and farm work, and in the field of ensuring veterinary welfare.
“The first Belarus-Kazakhstan agrarian forum has produced results. The growth of mutual trade turnover in the agricultural sector exceeded 30%. We are capable of increasing mutual presence,” Aleksei Bogdanov concluded.
