MINSK, 3 June (BelTA) – This year the Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom plans to invest about Br130 million in the modernization of its enterprises, BelTA learned from Bellegprom Chairwoman Nadezhda Lazarevich at a press briefing.
Nadezhda Lazarevich noted that modernization occupies an important place in the system of the Bellegprom concern. “As of 2026, we have formed an innovation program, which stands at more than Br129 million. In the first quarter we already see the result of about Br20 million,” she said.
The driver and flagship in modernization and development at present is Orsha Linen Mill, the chairwoman emphasized. “This year the mill is completing a major innovation project – by 1 November 2026, we will see a completely updated factory No.1. Modernization is also currently underway and an innovation project is being implemented at OAO Baranovichi Production Cotton Amalgamation. An innovation project at Gronitex is being completed this year, and work is underway at Slonim Worsted and Spinning Factory,” Nadezhda Lazarevich emphasized. “The program also includes two new innovation projects at the Polesie enterprise, which will be implemented in 2027-2030. The matter of modernization and purchase of new technological equipment at the Mogotex enterprise is now in the pipeline. And many other enterprises are engaged in modernization and purchase of equipment to some degree.”
Bellegprom already includes 68 enterprises, and more than 28,000 employees work in the system of the concern. On the whole, more than 2,100 organizations belong to the light industry in Belarus.
