The summer atmosphere will be interrupted by showers and storms, and the temperature will drop by 15 degrees

Weather forecasters are predicting storms for this afternoon, which will initially appear in the north of Slovenia, and then spread towards the south. Meteorologists expect most of the stormy events to occur between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The passage of storms will be quick, and the temperature will drop by 15 degrees Celsius in some places.

The storms will be accompanied by showers and lightning strikes, and the probability of hail will be slightly higher in the west. The warning level has been raised from yellow to orange.

“A little colder air is beginning to reach the Alps and our places from the northwest at higher altitudes, which, together with the simultaneous overheating of the air mass in the places south of the Alps, means increased instability of the atmosphere above us,” Ars predicts. The first storms appeared already in the morning over Karavanki, elsewhere the storms will appear between 1 pm and 7 pm.

“Before the storms appear, it will still warm above 30 degrees Celsius, especially in the southern regions, and then the temperature will drop by 10 to 15 degrees during the storms.”

Good morning, today will be clear at first, in the afternoon there will be local storms inland. It will still be hot. Tomorrow, some showers and thunderstorms may occur in the hilly world of western Slovenia. pic.twitter.com/lS2dTIU0d9
