Montenegrin businessman Aco Djukanovic, brother of former Montenegrin Prime Minister and President Milo Djukanovic, left the territory of Montenegro, confirmed is for RTV Podgorica from the security sector.
The Montenegrin prosecutor’s office has at least two active criminal cases against Djukanović, which were established after the search of his apartment in Podgorica and the house in Nikšić, reminds RTV Podgorica.
A few months ago, the police department submitted evidence to the prosecutor’s office, collected during the searches. We are talking about documentation, videos from searches and found weapons. Djukanovic was detained and interrogated on February 28, and his detention was set for March 2.
He was later released to defend himself, after offering a guarantee of five million euros.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro stated in a statement sent to the media that A. F. he left the country with court approval.
“On the occasion of the allegations published in certain media that refer to the departure of the person A. Gj. from the territory of Montenegro, and bearing in mind that it is a matter of a person and an object that were the subject of significant public attention, we inform the public that the named person was granted permission for temporary departure to another country by a judge of the Basic Court in Nikšić”, the Ministry stated.
