The border police of Serbia returned adult citizens of Montenegro from the Gostun and Drachenovac crossings tonight, unofficially learns RTCG.
It is possible that we are talking about reciprocal measures after today from Tivat airport 87 Serbian citizens who were marked as persons of security interest were returned.
Citizens of Montenegro are allegedly unable to cross the border with Serbia, due to repressive measures adopted by the authorities in Belgrade after the expulsion of more than 80 Serbian citizens from Tivat airport due to threats to national security, several sources from the security sector told Podgorica “Vijesti”.
According to the same sources, until 19:30, not a single Montenegrin citizen crossed into the neighboring country at the Gostun, Jabuka and Drachenovac border crossings in the territory under the jurisdiction of the Serbian police.
“Our police are carrying out increased controls and, as usual, entry is allowed to everyone who does not have security problems. Despite this, as of 19:30, the presence of the Serbian police was increased and they are taking increased measures only for Montenegrin nationals… Nebare is a ban,” one of the sources told Vijesti.
The Police Administration of Montenegro stated that it has no information about these events.
