Ordinary session: The total number of baccalaureate candidates this year amounts to 528,135, including 426,637 school students and 101,498 independent candidates. 71% are enrolled in scientific and technical fields, 29% in literary and traditional fields and less than 1% for professional fields.

The tests for the ordinary session of the unified national baccalaureate exam started this Thursday, June 4. According to official figures from the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, the total number of candidates this year amounts to 528,135, including 426,637 school students and 101,498 independent candidates. The ministry specifies in a press release that private education represents 11% of all candidates. Among school students, 71% are enrolled in scientific and technical fields, 29% in literary and traditional fields, while professional fields represent less than 1%. To ensure the smooth running of the tests, the ministry has taken all the necessary organizational and logistical measures. Thus, 2007 examination centers were made available comprising 26,407 rooms. More than 107,432 supervisors were mobilized as well as 2007 observers, 31,622 correctors, approximately 164 regional supervisors as well as 82 regional supervisors responsible for monitoring correction operations. In total, 597 subjects were prepared for the ordinary and remedial sessions, including 79 subjects adapted to candidates with disabilities. On the occasion of the launch of the tests, the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Mohamed Saad Berrada, paid a visit to the examination center of the Dar Essalam qualifying high school under the provincial management of Rabat in order to follow the progress of the exams. It should be noted that the ministry has published a ministerial decree relating to the procedures for the organization of the baccalaureate exams, in addition to the commissioning of the electronic version of the guide for candidates in order to allow them to find out about the legal and organizational aspects and all the new features that marked this session.

The ministry emphasizes that the school year was marked by the implementation of a set of educational and organizational measures intended to enable students to acquire fundamental learning and prepare effectively for exams. A national strategy for school time management and educational organization of learning has thus been developed. Furthermore, the ministry launched a national free educational support program aimed at strengthening academic achievement and promoting equal opportunities. Psychological support as well as collective preparation sessions were also offered to candidates. Awareness campaigns have been organized in schools to combat exam fraud. This year’s baccalaureate exams are taking place in a context marked by several important innovations. The ministry continued its efforts to modernize organizational and operational practices related to examination management. In this regard, the correction module has been integrated into the “Sage Plus” exam management system in order to improve the quality of correction operations through better control of procedures and strengthening monitoring of grading mechanisms. This reform includes in particular the obligation to carry out a test correction within the correction commissions in order to unify the interpretation of the evaluation criteria between the correctors.

The system also allows for direct, instantaneous and secure entry of notes, thereby reducing the risk of errors when recording them and improving the reliability and accuracy of the results. The use of the electronic fraud detection system has been widespread thanks to the equipment of examination centers with nearly 2,000 units. Logistical and technical support was also provided to local teams. In addition, training sessions were organized for the benefit of 4,014 educational and administrative executives in order to guarantee optimal use of these systems to detect and prevent cases of fraud.

The exams will continue until June 6, 2026, while the remedial session will take place on July 2, 3 and 4, 2026. The results of the ordinary session will be announced on June 17, and those of the remedial session on July 11, 2026.
