Action plan: The National Food Safety Office (ONSSA) indicated that Eid Al-Adha 1447 took place in good health conditions.
Eid Al-Adha 1447 took place in satisfactory health conditions, affirmed the National Food Safety Office (ONSSA). In a press release, ONSSA stressed that the Eid Al-Adha 2026 action plan put in place, as well as the mobilization of its veterinary services and laboratories during the Eid period and the commitment of the various stakeholders, in particular local authorities, consumer protection associations, professionals and butchers, enabled this occasion to take place in satisfactory health conditions.
The Office specified that it mobilized 500 veterinarians and technicians throughout the days of Eid, noting that more than 3,750 carcasses were examined and 350 visits were made to households, in order to provide them with the necessary information regarding the health of carcasses and offal. He also indicated that his services responded to more than 2,000 calls by telephone or via the Office’s social networks, to process requests and answer citizens’ questions. According to the press release, the Office’s services have, at the same time, carried out regular control and inspection operations at the level of authorized slaughterhouses and butcheries, in order to ensure the compliance of meat and offal with health standards. The Office ensures that it adopts an approach of proximity and continuous listening to citizens through all of its services.
