According to the reporter of Jam Jam, the investigation of this case was put on the agenda of the capital’s criminal police two years ago at the same time as the Mini family’s complaint about an attempt on their brother’s life in a neighborhood in the west of Tehran. In the investigation, it was found that the young man was shot near the gas station and was seriously injured and went into a coma. The investigation to find the shooter continued until after two weeks of the incident, the injured man regained consciousness and was investigated, and it turned out that he had gone to the area for work that day and was shot while crossing the path of the gas station. He said that he did not see the assailant, but he heard the voices of several people in the vicinity saying that the shooter wanted to hit us, that he hit this stranger. With this clue, the process of handling the case entered a new stage. The agents went to the gas station for further investigation and were able to obtain images in the review of the CCTV footage there. When they showed the assailant to the injured man, it turned out that he was one of his friends. He could not believe that he had shot at him because he had no conflict with him.
When his identity was revealed, this man was pursued and arrested, and he said that he had shot there, but he did not know that he had hit the plaintiff.
The accused went to prison and his case was sent to the court a while ago with the issuance of a summons from the 9th Investigation Branch of Tehran Criminal Prosecutor’s Office. The accused was tried not long ago in Branch 1154 of Criminal Court 2 of Tehran Province. The plaintiff in the case forgave his friend when he found out that the accused’s arrow hit him unintentionally during the trial. While explaining the incident, the accused said: I had a financial dispute with several men. When I couldn’t solve the problems, I decided to threaten them with weapons to end our dispute.
I was drunk that day and followed them until I realized that they had gone near a gas station. I watched them and then I prepared the weapon to fire. I shot at the right opportunity, when several bullets hit the surroundings and one bullet hit a man who was passing by the fuel station.
He added: I thought it was one of the same people. Because I did not see his face. Then I ran away. A few weeks after I was arrested, I found out that the bullet I fired had hit one of my friends who was traveling there.
Azim Sohrabi, the investigator of the 9th Branch of Tehran Criminal Prosecutor’s Office, confirmed this news and told Jam Jam: After the trial, the judges sentenced him to 10 months in prison for drinking alcohol and suffering 37 lashes, a fine, and 44 months in prison for carrying weapons and shooting. This decision was approved by the 34th branch of appeals of Tehran province and sent to the execution of the judgments of the criminal court of Tehran.
