Al-Shahid Al-Hafiz, June 1, 2026 (SPS) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Yeslam Basit, sent a message of congratulations to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Mr. Limpho Justice Tau, on the occasion of his appointment to the government of the newly formed Kingdom of Lesotho.
Mr. Mohamed Yaslam Basit said in his congratulatory message, “On behalf of the government of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, and on my own behalf, I extend to you my warmest congratulations on your appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Lesotho.”
He added, “I am confident that your leadership and dedication will make a significant contribution to achieving Lesotho’s foreign policy goals and strengthening its relations with African countries and beyond.”
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs expressed his deep appreciation for the Kingdom of Lesotho’s firm and continuing support for the just struggle of the people of Western Sahara and their inalienable right to self-determination and independence.
Muhammad Yaslam Basit also expressed his sincere desire to work closely with his counterpart, Lemfo Justice, to strengthen the bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and the Kingdom of Lesotho, in the service of our peoples and the common aspirations of the African continent.
