In the next two weeks, the construction control will check the documentation of the complex, as well as the engineering infrastructure – water supply, sewage and electricity supply. The reason is data that the buildings in “Astoria” have not been put into operation, although they have been issued construction permits.
According to information from the building control, the buildings do not have a certificate for commissioning (Act 16), and the reasons for this should be clarified by the municipality of Nessebar, since the procedure is within the competence of the chief architect.
The inspection comes amid ongoing severe problems at the complex. Eight months after the disaster, some of the owners are still without electricity, water and working sewage. In places, the mud and silt have not yet been cleared, electrical cables remain exposed, and part of the sewage infrastructure has been destroyed by the water.
The state of the riverbed, which according to residents has not been completely cleaned after the flood, is of additional concern. Part of the infrastructure around the complex remains compromised, and with heavier rainfall, people fear new problems.
At the same time, the building control indicated that the “Negresco” hotel, which was among the most commented buildings after the disaster, has been issued certificates for commissioning and at the moment there are no data or records of illegal construction.
Against the background of the unresolved infrastructure problems and the inspections that have begun, the two beaches in Elenite are already preparing for the summer season and are ready to welcome tourists.
