The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has set the value of the prize money it awards to the 48 teams participating in the current World Cup, including the “Desert Warriors.”
FIFA derives these astronomical sums of money from the companies sponsoring the World Cup, television broadcast rights, match ticket prices, and other sources. Note that the competition teams increased to 48 teams instead of 32, and the number of matches became 104 matches instead of 64.
Thus, the Algerian Football Association benefited from a huge sum estimated at about 167 billion centimes, including qualification for the 2026 World Cup and preparations for this competition. This is the same financial value received by every football association whose team participates in the World Cup.
This is just juice to whet the appetite, because after that, FIFA has set other financial prizes related to participation in the World Cup finals. It was formed as follows:
– World Cup win: 668 billion centimes.
– Activation of the final (the losing team): 441 billion centimes.
– Third place: 387 billion centimes.
– Fourth place: 360 billion centimes.
– Loss in the quarter-finals: 253 billion centimes.
– Loss in the final price: 200 billion centimes.
– Loss in the 16th round: 147 billion centimes.
– Elimination in the group stage: 120 billion centimes.
Therefore, it can be said that the treasury of the Algerian Football Association will benefit from an amount of 287 billion centimes, and this is only if the participation of the “Greens” in the group stage is frozen.
