Thirty-one aspiring actors showcased their talents and newly acquired skills during Cindon Productions’ recent Learn to Act graduation showcase at Naparima Bowl in San Fernando.
The event featured original scripts written and performed by the programme’s three graduating classes. The Kids Class presented The Tale of the Haunted Spirits, Beginner Teens staged The Funeral Confession, while Advanced Teens performed The Lost Island of Tribes.
Before an audience of proud parents, relatives and supporters, the students demonstrated skills developed during the programme, including acting, storytelling, teamwork, communication and public speaking.
Cindon Productions said its Learn to Act programme was designed as a journey of self-discovery to help children find their voice in a safe, nurturing and empowering environment.
“Through theatre games, improvisation, character exploration, storytelling, and performance, students develop the confidence to stand tall in their own identity. They learn to communicate with clarity and conviction, regulate emotions under pressure, build meaningful relationships, and embrace challenges with courage,” the company said.
The company added that the showcase represented far more than a performance.
“It is the visible expression of growth, perseverance, creativity, and transformation. It is the moment where hidden potential steps into the spotlight. It is the celebration of voices that have grown stronger, imaginations that have expanded, and young people who have begun the lifelong journey toward confidence, resilience, flourishing, and greatness.”
During the event, Sarah Kissoon performed a monologue, while Charlize Ragoonath and Arisa Rajan delivered solo performances. Ché-Nathaniel Knights performed the closing song.
Graduates also received certificates recognising their successful completion of the 12-week programme.
