Last year, flights between Belgrade and two airports in Montenegro were the busiest air connections between the countries of the former Yugoslavia, and last year they recorded an increase in the number of passengers.
As the portal ExYU Aviation announced yesterday, between Belgrade, Podgorica and Tivat last year, the Serbian national airline “Air Serbia” and the Montenegrin national airline “Air Montenegro” together transported a total of 685,316 passengers.
That is 42,389 passengers or 6.6 percent more than the number of flights between Belgrade and Podgorica, that is, Belgrade and Tivat in 2024.
Last year, the Belgrade – Podgorica line remained the busiest line between the two cities in the territory of the former Yugoslavia, as a total of 356,896 passengers flew on it, which is 9.4 percent more than the year before.
Not far behind is the Belgrade – Tivat line, where a total traffic of 328,420 passengers was recorded last year. That is a 3.7 percent better result than in 2024.
Belgrade is the busiest destination for flights from both Montenegrin airports: after the capital of Serbia, the second busiest destination for which traffic was flown from Podgorica last year was Istanbul, where a traffic of 290,827 passengers was recorded, while from Tivat, after Belgrade, the second busiest destination was Tel Aviv, where a total of 201,531 passengers flew.
