Again, and logically, he aims at the protific voters of the KDH.

KDH he has a problem and it’s not just a matter of the last few months. After all, it didn’t even get into parliament in 2020 and before that in 2016. There simply aren’t enough voters, and if by chance there are, then only just.
The question is not who will destroy the KDH, but whether the movement can defend itself against someone who has already done it successfully.
The years 2019 and 2026
At the end of November 2019, roughly three months before the upcoming ones parliamentary electionsthe preferences of the political parties looked like like this: according to the AKO agency, KDH had 6.4 percent and OĽaNO (later Slovakia and the Slovakian Movement, but in general Igor Matovič) 7.6 percent.
It was even closer according to Focus, which both sides a few weeks before measured 5.7 percent each.
So both of them had a very similar starting position. You probably remember what followed: OĽaNO or more precisely Igor Matovič won the election. KDH did not get into parliament at all.
Today, at the end of April 2026, reports Focus for KDH 7.6 percent and for Slovakia (OĽaNO, Matovič) 7.7 percent.
For the KDH, this is one of the most encouraging results in recent times, but it is more of a fluctuation: the movement has been testing the five percent threshold for a long time, sometimes from below. For Matovič, on the other hand, it is a result that can be built on. And he builds.
Igor Matovič helps
Before the elections in 2020, he was the chairman of the KDH Alojz Hlinawhich focused on grinding the edges and post-election cooperation withPS/Together, SaS and co aside For the people. Igor Matovič, as always, focused on himself, which meant that he mainly attacked Directionbut he was actually attacking absolutely everyone.
Hlin’s activity was politically constructive and many people appreciated it, but as it turned out, these were not the people who would vote for the KDH.
That was one reason why the KDH did not get into the parliament. The second one was Igor Matovič.
