Sherzod Karimov, the first deputy minister of pre-school and school education, informed that many discussions are taking place around this issue. At the same time, the representative of the ministry did not disclose the exact period when the 12-year education system will be fully implemented.
According to Karimov, the plan envisages the inclusion of 6-year-old children in the formal education system. The main goal is to bring children to school with the same level of preparation.
“Each child should come to school ready. Because his further education depends on this level. Currently, coming to school directly from kindergarten is not 100%. Therefore, it is important to bring everyone to the same level,” he said.
He noted that special attention is paid to the quality of education at the preparatory stage, and only highly educated pedagogues are required to teach children.
