
A high-pressure system will remain the dominant weather feature across Dominica and the northern Lesser Antilles during the next 12 to 24 hours. As a result, residents can expect occasionally cloudy and breezy conditions today, with only a few brief showers possible.
By early Sunday morning, a low-level trough is expected to move across the southern portion of the region. This feature will bring an increase in moisture, leading to a higher chance of showers during the early morning hours on Sunday.
Saharan dust concentrations are expected to decrease today, bringing some improvement in air quality and visibility. However, dust levels are forecast to increase again by Sunday afternoon. Persons with asthma, allergies, or other respiratory conditions should continue to take the necessary precautions to avoid health complications.
Sea conditions are expected to remain slight to moderate during the next 24 hours. Waves are forecast to reach around 3 feet along the western coast and up to 7 feet along the eastern coast.
