Video surveillance cameras They captured the exact moment in which a motorcycle with two young people on board collided with a truck in the Armenta Boulevard from San Pedro Sula, leaving both occupants seriously injured.
The accident occurred in front of the Technological University of Honduras (UTH) and was recorded by a security system installed in the area.
The images show when a black Hyundai van leaves the university facilities and enters the road.
Seconds later, the motorcycle violently collides with the rear of the vehicle. Due to the force of the impact, the two young men are thrown into the air and fall on the pavement.
The video shows that both were left lying on the road with serious injuries while several people approached to help them.
Witnesses alerted the emergency services, who arrived at the scene minutes after the accident.
An ambulance took the injured to the Mario Catarino Rivas hospital, where they received specialized medical care.
According to the recording, the truck made a maneuver to join the left lane of the road.
Likewise, in the video it can be seen that the motorcycle was traveling at a considerable speed at the time of impact.
