“Air defense forces continue to repulse the massive attack. Several drones managed to reach the Moscow oil refinery. Measures are being taken to eliminate the consequences,” Sobianin said. According to him, air defense shot down 190 Ukrainian drones.
According to monitoring telegram channels, residents of Moscow and the Moscow region reported a mass flight of drones on the morning of June 18. Wounded are also reported, their number is being specified. All major Moscow airports were suspended for security reasons.

The refinery is located approximately 15 kilometers from the Kremlin and, according to the source text, supplies approximately 40 percent of the Moscow region’s needs in gasoline and 50 percent in diesel. It is also supposed to deliver aviation fuel for military purposes.

Following the attack, traffic was restricted in both directions on the Moscow Ring Road and drivers were urged to use detours.
At night, shelling was also reported in the Rostov region. According to monitoring sources, a warehouse of petroleum products in the city of Gukovo was hit, while the attack was supposed to damage a thermal locomotive and cause two fires.
