US Vice President JD Vance’s visit to Pakistan for negotiations with the Iranian delegation has been cancelled. “Armenpress”CBS News reports this, citing its source in the US administration.
Vance was supposed to go to Islamabad to hold talks with the Iranian side on April 22.
“Further news regarding the face-to-face meeting will be announced by the White House,” the source said.
Before this, US President Donald Trump announced the indefinite extension of the ceasefire with Iran.
Earlier, the Foreign Ministry of Iran announced that no decision was made to participate in the negotiations with the USA. According to Iranian officials, Tehran does not want to negotiate under threats.
On April 11-12, the negotiations between the USA and Iran in Islamabad ended without an agreement.
