New Delhi: Just a couple of days to wait, then India’s white ball series will begin in Billet. Team India will play the first T20 against Ireland on June 26. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s desired Team India debut may happen in that match. It has already left for the country Indian team (Indian Cricket Team). But before that, his first Indian senior team jersey was handed over to Vaibhav.
Kitbags with their jerseys are delivered to each player’s home as usual before leaving for the tournament. Vaibhav also got his hands for the first time sitting in the hotel. Taking that jersey in his hand, a bit of emotion, a bit of excitement was caught in his eyes. In a video shared by the BCCI, Vaibhav can be heard saying, ‘This feeling cannot be described in words’ after receiving the India jersey. The dream with which I picked up the bat on the first day, started practicing on the cricket field, that dream came true, the most important step of the tour was fulfilled. I cannot express this feeling in words.’
The young Indian cricketer added, ‘It feels like a dream. I couldn’t contain my joy when I saw this shirt. Sometimes things happen that you didn’t expect and when that happens, it’s hard to know how to react. That’s exactly what happened to me.’

Although Vaibhav achieved success at a very young age, his success did not come overnight. Behind it is talent as well as hard work. In a PTI report, coach Manish Ojha, who trained him since the age of eight at the Patner Academy, recounted the youngster’s journey and the sacrifices made by his family. Manish Ojha said that Vaibhav practiced for around eight hours every day and faced around 100 overs regularly.
Talking about how much Vaibhav practiced from a very young age, Ojha said, ‘Look, we didn’t count balls, how many balls he bowled, but I can give you a minimum idea. Vaibhav played more than 600 balls every day. And I can say this for sure because I used to throw him down about 200-300 balls by myself. And when I got tired, other support staff helped me.’

Manish Ojha also said, ‘Between the net session deliveries, throwdowns and sometimes he faced the bowling machine. The exercise started at 7:30 am and continued till 4 pm.’ How Vaibhav received the support of his parents since his childhood has also come up in the mouth of his childhood coach.
