Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Hilary Beckles will deliver his official report to the University Council, covering the 2024/2025 academic year. The presentation is expected to outline key developments, institutional performance, and the strategic direction of the regional university, said a UWI release.
The report highlights the university’s ongoing efforts to advance its strategic priorities, including building institutional resilience, preparing for future challenges, and strengthening its influence both regionally and internationally.
Recognized as the highest governing authority within the UWI system, the University Council is responsible for overseeing the institution’s administrative and business affairs, as well as appointing senior leadership. The Council is chaired by Chancellor Dodridge Miller, who presides over its deliberations and decision-making processes.
