“The first TV Republika broadcast van is already in the workshop. Work on the vehicle’s conversion and technology is now beginning,” announced Michał Rachoń, Program Director of TV Republika, on X. He also shared a photo of the vehicle.
In 2025, TV Republika held a fundraiser for a broadcast van. The goal was achieved thanks to the support of sympathizers of the Free Speech House media group. Shortly after the fundraiser ended, the station’s president, Tomasz Sakiewicz, announced that the first vehicle platform, intended for a broadcast van, had been purchased.
At the time, he also revealed that TV Republika would acquire not just one, but three vans.
“Why three? Because such a large, heavy vehicle would not be able to enter central Warsaw or many other locations,”
the head of TV Republika explained at the time.
Program Director Shares Photo
After several months, the topic has resurfaced, this time due to a post by Program Director Michał Rachoń. The journalist posted a photo of the vehicle on X, showing the inscription “Broadcast Van No. 1” alongside the station’s logo.
From the post, we also learn that the vehicle is already in the workshop and that “work on the vehicle’s conversion and technology is beginning.”
That’s Not the End of the Good News
“Today, we placed an order for vehicle number 2. Each of these vans will have a gross weight of less than 3.5 tonnes, which means they will be able to operate in city centers without requiring special permits,”
Rachoń writes.
There is also mention of a third vehicle, which, according to the Program Director, is expected to be smaller. “Details coming soon,” he notes.
Jarosław Olechowski, head of TV Republika’s editorial team, also wrote on X: “We have just completed the conceptual work related to the construction of the broadcast vans.”
“We are now developing the detailed execution design and moving on to the conversion and outfitting of the first prototype vehicle. To speed up the process, we are already ordering vehicle number 2,”
he adds.
