Personnel of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment (TTR) have been deployed to Antigua and Barbuda to support security operations for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2026.
The soldiers are assisting the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force with security arrangements for the meeting.
The detachment is led by Lt (N) B Khan, with Capt J Hosein serving as second-in-command. Other officers include Lt J Mason, who is in charge of infantry, Sub Lt (N) P Diaz, who is responsible for explosive ordnance disposal, and Sgt Seeballack, who is the detachment sergeant major.
The deployment forms part of regional military cooperation between Trinidad and Tobago and Antigua and Barbuda.
