“Donald Trump”, the President of the United States, today (Thursday) in response to some criticism of the agreement with Iran, described the critics as “jealous, bad people or stupid” and said that at the same time as the memorandum of understanding was signed, the US stock market reached a new record and the price of oil also decreased.
On Thursday, in a message on his “Truth Social” social network, Donald Trump responded to criticisms about his policies towards Iran.
In this message, Trump attacked critics who believe that he was not strict enough with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“These idiots who think I haven’t been tough enough on Iran, with the stock market hitting new all-time highs and oil prices plummeting, are either jealous, bad people, or stupid,” the president wrote.
In the following message, Trump repeated his election slogan called “MAGA” and wrote: “Bring back the greatness to America.”
These statements are made while the reactions to the recent understanding between Iran and the United States and its consequences for global markets and regional security continue.
Ted Cruz, the Republican senator of Texas and a staunch opponent of Iran, strongly criticized the draft memorandum of understanding between the United States and Tehran after it was published.
Earlier, in a conversation with reporters, he claimed that “giving billions of dollars” to Iran “is not a good idea. “I think the president, unfortunately, is receiving bad advice.”
Cruz also criticized this agreement on the issue of tolls for crossing the Strait of Hormuz and said: “It is not in the interest of the United States to put Iran in a position where it will forever control the Strait of Hormuz and collect tolls.” In my opinion (Iran) should not earn a single cent from free passage in the seas.
Reactions in the US Congress regarding the initial agreement between Tehran and Washington continue while the Democrats consider this understanding good for the Islamic Republic of Iran and continue to blame Donald Trump for this war.
