Transavia was forced to cancel 50 flights that were scheduled to take place in May and June due to the fuel crisis caused by the war in the Middle Eastsaid this Wednesday, April 22, Julien Mallard, deputy general director for the carrier’s commercial area.
At a press conference, the person responsible revealed that the price of the company’s flights low cost has risen five euros since mid-March to respond to the increased costs caused by the conflict.

Transavia is still benefiting from the synergies of belonging to the AirFrance–KLM group, he said.
The fuel shortage crisis is combined with a greater demand for travel in Europe. According to Julien Mallard, there is greater interest in flights on the European continent due to the conflict between the USA and Israel and Iran.

The Lufthansa group also announced last night that it will cancel 20,000 short-haul flights until October to reduce fuel consumption, given the increases since the start of the war in Iran.
