The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation confirmed that tomorrow, Tuesday, June 30, is the last date for private sector companies that have 50 or more workers to meet Emiratisation targets for the first half of 2026, stressing that non-compliant companies will be subject to financial contributions as of July 1 at 10,000 dirhams per month, equivalent to 120,000 dirhams annually for every citizen who has not been appointed. She explained that applying financial contributions to non-compliant companies comes as part of the gradual escalation of Emiratization targets since they began to be implemented in 2022, when they were then 6,000 dirhams per month, with a total of 72 thousand dirhams annually for each citizen who was not appointed, before rising to 10 thousand dirhams per month, equivalent to 120 thousand dirhams annually during the current year.
The Ministry called on the targeted companies to take advantage of the “Nafis” platform, which is full of citizens seeking work from various specializations, in a way that meets the companies’ needs for qualified and trained national cadres and those with different specializations.
She pointed out that Emiratisation policies represent a fundamental pillar for achieving the country’s ambitious economic strategies and future directions, stressing that it is continuing to implement these policies in partnership with the private sector, which contributes to enhancing competitiveness and sustainable growth, and increasing the active participation of citizens in the labor market. The Ministry also confirmed the continued provision of benefits and competitive advantages to companies that achieve exceptional results in Emiratisation, by including them in the membership of the Emiratisation Partners Club, allowing them to benefit from discounts of up to 80% on the ministry’s service fees, in addition to giving them priority. In the government procurement system, which enhances its business growth opportunities.
