To celebrate on the streets of London, Princess Kate chose a light blue combination and a detail that belonged to Princess Diana

Great Britain celebrates the birthday of King Charles III today. Although the king was born on November 14, 1948, today there is a big celebration in his honor in London. Namely, throughout history, kings who were not born in the summer, nevertheless celebrated it then because of the weather conditions – the best weather conditions in England for a big celebration and parade on the streets of London are in the summer months. Therefore, for more than 260 years, every second Saturday in June, a large military parade “Trooping the Colour” has been held in honor of the King or Queen.

As is usually the case, this time too, eyes were on Charles’ heirs – Princess Kate and her three children, who accompanied her to Buckingham Palace. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis sat with their mother in the carriage in which they passed through London and waved to the crowd with smiling faces, and everyone noticed an interesting fashion detail.

Although Princess Charlotte is usually the one who fashionably matches her mother, this time it was the princes who came to the celebration in classic suits with light blue ties, exactly the shade of their mother’s dress. For this occasion, Princess Kate chose a piece in which we often see her, a coat-dress signed by the fashion house Catherine Walker.

She completed the elegant combination of light blue color with white details on the sleeves, pockets and lapels with a hat of the same color, by the Irish designer Philip Treacy. She wore an Irish Guard brooch on her coat-dress, while for jewelry she chose Princess Diana’s three-row pearl bracelet and pearl earrings with floral motifs from the London jeweler Cassandra Goad. On her feet, however, she had elegant and simple white high-heeled sandals.

Princess Charlotte, on the other hand, shone in a white combination with blue details in the form of flowers on her dress, while she wore a large white bow in her hair. Although this time she appeared in a combination that is not so similar to her mother’s choice, she wore a pearl bracelet on her arm, also with three rows, which is extremely reminiscent of her mother’s choice.

After the parade in which they participated, Princess Kate and her three children readily posed on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, where in the company of their father, Prince William, and King Charles and Queen Camilla, they waved to those gathered around the palace in the king’s honor.

Queen Camilla chose a striking red combination with black details for this occasion. Her coat-dress, by designer Fiona Clare, is a tribute to the uniforms of the Grenadier Guards, and she completed everything by choosing a black hat by Philip Treacy.
