What gives Icelanders the most pleasure are friends and social life.
This shows a summary of the campaign “Satisfaction is”, which started in February with the aim of strengthening Mental Health and raising awareness of the importance of feeling good.
Sjóvá had initially pledged 200 ISK to Geðhjál for each submission on the website. anaegjaer.is but has now increased his contribution to 500 ISK.
Now 2,600 Icelanders have sent in what gives them the most pleasure, and thus more than 1.3 million ISK have been collected. The goal is to collect 2 million ISK.
Happiness is rarely related to money
According to Lára Hrafnsdóttir, Sjóvá’s marketing manager, in the announcement, the submissions are a sign that happiness is rarely related to money.
“The results show that human relationships weigh more heavily than four times more people mentioned togetherness with family and friends rather than material things. In fact, it can be said that pleasure in life costs 0 ISK, since the vast majority of answers are about free experiences such as good conversation, smiles, nature and presence,” Lára is further quoted as saying.
The national submissions also show that the first cup of coffee in the morning is almost a national passion.
Lára says the project arose from measuring customer satisfaction. People’s satisfaction is the heart of what Sjóvá wants to stand for.
