The Transparency Board has again changed fuel prices in the market.
According to today’s announcement, oil will be sold at 203 ALL per liter from 206 ALL. While gasoline goes from 181 Lek to 180 Lek per liter.
The prices set by the Board will come into force today, at 11:30 am and will be valid until the next meeting of the board where the changes in sales prices will be reflected.
Full Notice:
The retail price of the gasoil by-product of the SSH EN 590 standard should be no more than 203 ALL/liter, while the wholesale price no more than 191 ALL/liter.
The retail price of the SSH EN standard gasoline by-product should be no more than 180 ALL/liter, while the wholesale price no more than 168 ALL/liter.
The prices set by the Board will come into force today, the 29th at 11.30 am and will be valid until the next meeting of the Board, where the changes in sales prices will be reflected.
We draw the attention of every wholesale and retail operator of oil by-products on the obligation to implement this decision.
In case of violations found by different operators, the suspension of the activity will be imposed.
The Ministry of Economy and Innovation together with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy are committed to protecting the interests of Albanian consumers and maintaining the principles of fair competition in the market.
CLARIFICATION: Referring to Normative Act no. 1, Date 3.4.2026 “For an addition to Law No. 61/2012, “On excise duties in the Republic of Albania,” amended, where it is provided that in the event that the retail price for diesel is higher than 220 lek/liter, or for gasoline is higher than 200 lek/liter, the 80% level of excise duty is applied. Based on the application of the methodology for calculating ceiling retail prices, the prices are below the limit of Normative Act no. 1, dated 3.4.2026, and therefore the excise duty level will be applied in full, 100%.
