Tonight at 7:15 p.m., members of the MUP of the Sarajevo Canton arrested Tarik Prusac, who is suspected of murdering Elma Godinjak-Prusac in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Dobrinja.
The police officially announced that the suspect was arrested in the area of Stari Grad, without details about the place and method of arrest.
However, domestic media reports that the Sarajevo police officers successfully performed a very sensitive task given the circumstances.
The suspect, unofficially, parked the car on the famous promenade of Dariva. At that moment, he saw the policemen, and decided to head towards Baščašrija on foot.
He had a child with him all the time, whom he took from the apartment after the murder of his ex-wife. In order to calm the child, the suspect decided to go for kebabs.
This came in handy in his attempt to “merge into the crowd”, given that Baščaršija was teeming with local guests and tourists today.
According to media information, he was recorded by a camera near the City Hall, and the police quickly located him. Considering the sensitivity of the situation, the police officers carefully planned the arrest action, which they successfully carried out in the end.
After the arrest, the suspect was taken to the premises of the KS MUP, and the child was found unharmed and is under the supervision of experts.
