Martyr Al-Hafiz (Sahrawi refugee camps) May 7, 2026 (SPS) – Last Monday, the Sahrawi National Committee for Human Rights received a delegation from the Italian Parliamentary Committee for Human Rights, led by its President, Mrs. Laura Boldrini, where the representative of the Sahrawi Committee, Brother Sidia Ababilil, briefed it on the latest developments in the human rights situation in the occupied areas of Western Sahara, in addition to the conditions of Sahrawi refugees.
The Italian parliamentary official was accompanied by her deputy, in addition to other officials, and in the presence of the Front’s representative in Italy, Sister Fatima Mahfouz, where the representative of the committee in this meeting, Brother Sidia Abilil, provided her with details about the most important human rights files that constitute a real concern for the committee.
The meeting allowed the Italian guests to raise a number of questions about the human rights situation in the occupied territories and in the Sahrawi refugee camps as well, as well as discuss a number of general concerns that the parliamentary committee is interested in knowing the Sahrawi position on.
