He Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported that due to the presence of Saharan dust Temperatures will continue to be hot and will spread throughout different provinces of the country.
He indicated that the moisture content remains limited, as a consequence of a high pressure system over the area.
At the same time, he warned that only isolated showers could occur in the morning hours in San Pedro de Macorís, San Cristóbal, Peravia, Barahona and El Gran Santo Domingo.
While in the afternoon, the diurnal cycle will generate isolated showers and possible thunderstorms over towns in Santiago, Santiago Rodríguez, Valverde and Dajabón.
Local forecasts
The Indomet reported that in the Greater Santo Domingo The minimum temperatures will be between 24 °C and 26 °C, and maximums between 31 °C and 33 °C.
Given these temperatures, the entity recommends that the population drink enough fluids, wear light, light-colored clothing, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and stay in cool, ventilated places.
Additionally, people susceptible to dust particles should follow health recommendations.
