After the Vestea Government failed on Monday night in Parliament, it became more and more obvious that P.S.D can no longer hide from the takeover governmentcountries, and the president Nicușor Dan can no longer manage the social democrats.

Thus, President Nicușor Dan convened consultations with all parliamentary parties on Monday, including P.S.Dand the social democrats, through his voice Sorin Grindeanuannounced that they were ready to “assume governance”. However, Grindeanu did not say who will be the PSD prime minister, although the media information points to him.

The PSD is not as united as it appears, and some camps a bit more conservative than Sorin Grindeanu would like the current social-democratic leader gone, wanting a closer collaboration with GOLD. Former leader Paul Stănescu also said it on Monday evening, after the failed vote in Parliament, who reproached the party for “not wanting with GOLD”. Stănescu also said that Sorin Grindeanu should be prime minister.

Although it is an important position, Grindeanu has no interest in taking over the government now, especially since Romania’s economic problems have not yet been resolved.

Political scientist George Jiglău comes up with an alternative scenario probably after negotiationsbeing of the opinion that the designated prime minister could be Victor Negrescu, MEP PSD, with a very good image in Brussels, in the context in which Sorin Grindeanu realizes the danger of being prime minister. “I don’t think he personally wants to”

“He needs someone who can speak English better, someone who understands how the PNRRyou can send him to Brussels and so on, and the only one I can think of, when it comes to the picture with the president at the table, in Brussels, is Negrescu”, says the political scientist.

George Jiglău says that in PSD there are obviously conservative camps that see no problem in associating with AUR, and in recent months the two parties have synchronized voting on various projects law.

The university professor says that Sorin Grindeanu is still trying to keep appearances in the PSD. “He said earlier that as long as he is at the head of PSD, they will not be with AUR”.

The analyst and journalist Ion M. Ioniță believes that PSD is in a delicate position now, and Sorin Grindeanu sees himself in the position of giving a prime minister or being that one himself.

“They demolished something they were in. They were in the Government and it was good and they had no one to replace them. Now, for Sorin Grindeanu, the bill is coming, namely assuming responsibility and possibly occupying the position of prime minister. Why do I say possibly? Because you saw, the nuances matter,” he says.

Ion M. Ioniță emphasizes that even now, at the negotiations in Cotroceni, Sorin Grindeanu did not expressly request the granting of the prime minister’s mandate to the PSD president. “He said he was ready to take over, but he didn’t say to be given the mandate”

“Clearly he is running away from the government and is trying all possible tricks not to reach the position of prime minister. Why? Because apart from demagoguery, Sorin Grindeanu knows what lies beneath. If he comes to Victoria Palace until August 31, he must promote 7 laws in the Parliament. The first of them is the unitary wage law. Either there, the PSD has already brought people to the streets and presented this bill as a terrible one made by Bolojan”, says the analyst.

The journalist states that if Grindeanu now returns to the position of prime minister, all these responsibilities and problems that he caused await him.

Ion M. Ioniță adds that in the PSD there is a group that would like to officially embrace the GOLD, but that would mean the dissolution of the PSD.

President Nicușor Dan negotiated on Tuesday with all the parties in the Parliament for a second designation of prime minister, but the Presidential Administration postponed the announcement of a designated prime minister’s name until tomorrow.
