Health, gendarmerie, police and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notice of citizens who saw a motionless person on the water surface in Dereağzı location of Yanık District of the Lake.
The person, who was standing on the water surface with a snorkel and sea goggles on, was taken ashore by AFAD teams by boat.
The person who was determined to have died during the check-up by the medical teams was determined to be Hazar Can Ateş (47).
After the examination, Ateş’s body was sent to Sakarya Training and Research Hospital Korucuk Pre-Autopsy Center.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
