The health authorities are sounding the alarm in Romania due to the increase in the number of cases of tick bites, with the warming of the weather, after dozens of people, including BOYSthey arrived at hospital in the last few days.
In Arad alone, 25 patients needed medical care for the extraction of ticks, most cases being registered in parks, forests or during outdoor activities, it shows Antenna 3 CNN.
The patients, 19 adults and six children, were stung by these insects in the woods, parks or while mowing the grass.
Doctors recommend being careful when spending time outdoors, in parks or in the woods, because tick bites can easily go unnoticed.
That’s why it’s good to carefully inspect the skin when we get home. If we notice the bites, it is very important to extract the insects from the skin, either at home or by going to the doctor, because they can cause serious infections, such as tick-borne encephalitis or Lyme disease.
