The Migration and Citizenship Service of Armenia has issued an informative message ahead of the active holiday season, urging citizens to pay attention to travel documents before traveling.
“Dear citizens, before going on vacation, familiarize yourself with the border crossing regulations of the country you are going to.
In particular, specify the requirement for the validity period of the passport. Many popular tourist destinations have a 6-month passport validity rule. the passport must be valid for another six months from the return date of the trip. For example, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, China, India and a number of other countries have such a requirement.
That is, if, for example, you will go on vacation from July 21-31, then your passport must expire no later than January 28, 2027. “Armenpress”the structure informs, stressing that there are countries that require the passport to be valid for three months, counted from the date of the return trip, such as France, Germany, Italy, etc.
These settings may also be subject to change from time to time, so it is necessary to always check the updated and active setting.
The Migration and Citizenship Service reminds that if the problem related to the validity of the passport is discovered at the airport, it cannot be solved on the spot, because the one-day service of issuing the passport is provided on the working day following the submission of the application.
