The Vlora Police has taken the next action regarding the incidents that occurred in the protest held on May 30 in Zvrnec against the project that is planned to be built in this area.
It is announced that citizens Artur Grami, 35 years old, and Gazmend Vathi, 41 years old, residents of Tirana, have been arrested, who forcibly pulled the protester. Earlier, Geraldo Biba was also arrested, who physically hit the protester.
“Intensive investigations continue in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office of Vlora to bring to justice all the perpetrators of illegal actions or omissions committed during the rally held on 30.05.2026, in Portonovë, Zvërnec.
The 2 citizens who forcibly dragged the participant to the rally were arrested and handcuffed.
Following the investigative and procedural actions, for clarifying and documenting all the circumstances and all the responsibilities for this event, the services of the Local Police Directorate of Vlorë, in cooperation with the services of the Local Police Directorate of Tirana, caught and detained the citizens AG, 35 years old and GV, 41 years old, residents of Tirana, after the Court of Vlora has assigned the security measure “Arrest in prison”, for the criminal offense “Removal illegal of freedom”.
Both are accused of having, in cooperation with the GB citizen (arrested), forcefully dragged the participant in the rally, the ES citizen, to the place reserved for the guards, to whom they caused bodily harm.
Furthermore, the verifications showed that the detained citizens, AG and GV, do not appear to be registered or licensed by any entity for private physical security services.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office of Vlora, for further actions”writes the police.
