This seminar was organized to improve the quality of professional education and tourism services.
Maulvi Atiqullah Azizi, head of information and culture of Herat, said that they are trying to provide the necessary facilities for the further growth of this industry and the better introduction of the historical, cultural and natural attractions of the said province with the cooperation of related institutions.
According to officials, compared to the first years of Islamic Emirate rule, the country’s tourism industry has grown by about 80 percent and this process has accelerated.
In the meeting, the local officials called the tourism industry an effective means of introducing Afghanistan’s culture, civilization and capabilities to the world and emphasized on coordination and joint cooperation between government agencies and tourism companies for the development of this industry.
