Elina Svitolina (7) reached the semifinals of the WTA 500 tournament in Stuttgart. In the quarterfinal match, the fourth-seeded Ukrainian beat the Czech Linda Noskova (13).
The game lasted 1 hour 40 minutes and ended with the score 7:6(2), 7:5.
At the start of the meeting, Elina did not realize a double break point, and until the tie-break, the tennis players confidently held their own serves. Svitolina played the thirteenth game composedly and did not leave any chances to her opponent.
The Ukrainian started the second set just as confidently. Elina took a 4:1 lead, and after that her game suddenly fell apart. Noskova, who had not had a single break point before, began to impose a fight, and when Svitolina served for the match with a score of 5:3, she still made a reverse break.
Moreover, at 5:5, the Czech already had a chance to go ahead, but Elina held on. And, as our best tennis player knows how, at the right moment she turned herself on to full power and ended the match in her favor with a brilliant round shot – 7:5.

By reaching the semifinals, Elina repeated her best achievement in Stuttgart five years ago.
