Tehran’s green light for shipping and the start of specialized negotiations in the Strait of Hormuz

According to the report of Ekhtaz Online, quoted by Isna, Ali Bahraini, the ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Geneva, told reporters on Tuesday that the Strait of Hormuz is completely open to commercial ships and that large amounts of oil have been transported through this waterway in recent days.

According to this senior Iranian diplomat in Switzerland, “negotiations regarding the Strait of Hormuz between Iran and Oman will be held after negotiations with the parties regarding the memorandum of understanding.”

Before the Lake Lucerne meeting between Tehran, Washington and the mediating countries, the inability of the United States to stop the aggressive attacks of the Zionist regime on southern Lebanon resulted in Iran’s reaction and the announcement of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz in response to the non-implementation of the commitments in the first paragraph of the memorandum of understanding. Although, the next day, Benjamin Netanyahu issued an order to stop the attacks on Lebanon, and according to media reports, the country’s army, under American pressure, is considering withdrawing part of the occupying forces from southern Lebanon.

According to Ryan News Agency, referring to the signing of the memorandum of understanding on the end of the war between Iran and the United States and the holding of negotiations at the Borgenstock Hotel with the presence of the mediator countries Pakistan and Qatar, where the issue of freeing Iran’s blocked assets was discussed and an agreement was reached on the mechanisms for its implementation, Bahraini said: “A large part of Iran’s assets have been blocked in many places around the world, and $6 billion should have been released or it should be released soon.” will be.”

He also stated that Tehran expects the remaining $6 billion to be released within 60 days based on the progress made in the implementation of the agreement.

According to the representative of Iran in Geneva, Iran has not yet decided on the time of the next high-level meeting (Qalibaf-Vance) with the United States, but this meeting will be held.

Referring to the talks between the technical teams of Iran, the United States and the mediating countries in Switzerland, he said: “The technical talks yesterday were good and two working groups will be formed on sanctions and nuclear activities.”

Iran’s representative in Geneva also said about the possibility of the Zionist regime obstructing the path of Iran and the United States to reach the final agreement to end the war: We will respond to any violation of the memorandum by Israel in any way, including by attacking Lebanon and Hezbollah.

Bahraini stressed: “Our red line is more attacks against Lebanon, including Beirut and its south.”

According to the first paragraph of this memorandum of understanding, “by signing this memorandum of understanding, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America and their allies in the current war declare the immediate and permanent end of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon, and undertake not to start any war or military operations against each other from now on.”
