The program, organized with the Vietnam Student Development and Support Center, features a series of workshops titled ‘Students Join Hands for Sustainable Water Resources’ in five provinces and cities including Can Tho, Tuyen Quang, Nghe An, An Giang, and Gia Lai.

The workshops are designed to help students understand the importance of clean water for both personal health and community well-being.

Through a mix of lectures, interactive sessions, and hands-on activities, participants learn about Vietnam’s water resource challenges and develop habits for safe and efficient water use.

During the sessions, students receive an overview of the current state of water resources nationwide, along with insights into environmental challenges affecting their local areas.

Group discussions and question-and-answer sessions encourage participants to exchange ideas on sustainable water protection, while environmental quizzes create an engaging and lively learning environment.

At the end of each workshop, local ‘Green Warrior’ teams are officially formed, pledging to take action through clean-up campaigns and community engagement.

Following the initial event in Can Tho, additional workshops are scheduled to roll out from May through November this year in the remaining provinces.

Organizers expect the expanding program to broaden its reach and inspire more students to take proactive steps in protecting water sources within their communities.

Alongside the workshop series, TCP Vietnam and the Vietnam Student Development and Support Center are organizing an online charity run to raise funds for installing filtration systems in areas facing shortages or contamination.

The project aims to establish three ‘Safe Clean Water’ sites in regions affected by climate change, saltwater intrusion, or limited freshwater access, including border areas.

A field survey conducted in An Giang Province has already assessed local needs and conditions to guide future installations.

Lam Tung, vice-president of the Vietnam National Union of Students, said water resources in Vietnam and globally are facing serious challenges such as pollution, depletion, and unsustainable use.

He asserted that students are both beneficiaries of water resources and potential drivers of positive change through awareness and professional expertise.

He expressed hope that the program would encourage innovative ideas and practical research solutions related to water conservation, enabling young participants to apply academic knowledge to real-world environmental issues.

Arjaree Suwangool, corporate affairs and communications department director at TCP Group, said sustainability has been a core principle throughout the company’s 70-year history.

She added that clean water forms the foundation of health, livelihoods, and long-term community development.

Through the clean water project, the company aims to inspire meaningful action, particularly among younger generations.

According to Suwangool, investing in water protection ultimately means investing in people and the future of communities.

Organizers expect the 2026 activities to strengthen public awareness, encourage responsible water use, and foster community-driven solutions.

By combining education, youth engagement, and practical local actions, the initiative seeks to promote sustainable living habits and safeguard water resources for future generations.
