
Humayun Afghan, the spokesman of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, wrote today on his “X” social network: “Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Mullah Hidayatullah Badri, signed a contract for sedimentary gold mines in Sholdre and Archi areas of Chahab district of Takhar with an investment of 89 million 64 thousand US dollars, the value of each mine is 44 million 532 thousand US dollars; Abdul Basir Mohammadi Afghan Mining and Processing Company Signed with the official.”
While signing the agreement, the Minister of Mines and Petroleum spoke about the importance of these projects and said that the contract for these mines is for ten years in exchange for 40% royalty in favor of the Islamic Emirate.
He emphasized that the contracting company is obliged to carry out all its activities according to the mining law, related procedures and the commitments entered in the contract.
It is said that the said company will spend two million US dollars in different areas of social services in both areas in addition to paying royalties.
In addition, the company is obliged to protect the environment according to its commitments and through this project, around 3,000 people will be directly employed and 4,000 people will be indirectly employed.
