Not only road users, but also citizens from the entire Ettelbruck region have been plagued by the traffic problem for many years, the roots of which go back to the 1990s. It doesn’t matter which direction you approach Ettelbruck from: you’ll be stuck in a traffic jam most hours of the day. The main sticking point is the distribution circle that was once created as a temporary measure at the entrance to the town, through which all traffic from the B7 is routed towards the N15.
Today, around 400,000 vehicles are counted every month on the national road between Ettelbrück and Niederfeulen and thus also on the distribution circle mentioned. Only three percent of them head for Ettelbruck, the rest is through traffic.
