Damascus, June 18 (SANA) Syrian Health Minister Musab al-Ali met his Jordanian counterpart Ibrahim Bdour in Damascus on Thursday for talks on expanding cooperation in healthcare services and strengthening pharmaceutical securityPharmaceutical Security.
The discussions, which included health officials from both countries, focused on capacity-building and the exchange of expertise in digital transformation in the health sector.
Damascus has been seeking to broaden regional and international cooperation as part of efforts to rebuild its healthcare system, which was heavily damaged during years of war.
Earlier in June, Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani met in Damascus a Jordanian delegation led by Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi to review progress on implementing outcomes of the second session of the Jordanian-Syrian Higher Coordination Council, held in Amman on April 12, 2026.
Talks covered economic integration, transport, customs and water cooperation, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and advancing a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
