The weather will be warmer than normal for this period, with temperatures reaching up to 33 degrees during the last week of spring. Thursday and Friday will be cooler, with 24-25 degrees, but also with possible showers during the afternoons.
Meteorologists announce, for Monday, May 23, temperatures between 23 and 30 degrees throughout the country, with maximums of 28-29 degrees in the Capital, while on Sunday, 29 degrees were recorded at many stations in the west of the country and 28 degrees in Bucharest Filaret.
“From Tuesday, we expect values that will exceed 30 degrees, even 33 degrees, Wednesday being the warmest this week,” said the director general of the National Meteorological Administration (NMA), Elena Mateescu, at Digi 24.
According to the cited source, precipitation will not be excluded, light showers during the afternoons, with a higher degree of humidity and increasing thermal discomfort.
Specialists announce that Thursday and Friday the weather will enter a mild cooling process with temperatures falling towards 24-25 degrees, for the end of May to bring rising temperatures again, which will once again exceed the threshold of a summer day.
“Summer is starting in force, it is already a tradition to record these episodes with warmer weather than usual, in the conditions that South-Eastern Europe “experiences” this trend more and more often. The slightly cooler weather on Thursday and Friday comes from the fact that our country is crossed by a colder air mass, we are practically at the transition between the crossing of a warm air mass, followed, from the north, by colder air masses cold, which will replace the pre-existing mass, but it will be short-lived. Anyway, we will feel 24-25 degrees, values close to the normal for the period, after which the temperatures will increase from one day to the next”, the director of the ANM also declared.
According to meteorologists, on Thursday and Friday, the probability of rain is higher.
