Spain and Portugal joined the ranks of the qualifiers for the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup.
Spain qualified for the next round, deservedly, after scoring three goals against Austria.
Oyarzabal scored in the 36th and 89th minutes, and Pedro scored the second goal in the 66th minute.
Unlike Spain, Portugal achieved its qualification with difficulty, after defeating Croatia by two goals to one.
Perisic scored for Croatia in the 53rd minute, before Cristiano Ronaldo converted from a penalty kick in the 68th minute. Ramos added the second goal, in the fourth minute of stoppage time, and the Croatia national team was then able to score a goal that was disallowed due to offside.
Spain and Portugal will meet next Monday evening in the 16th final.
